The biggest annual card trade show, CARTES & Identification Exhibition in Paris, is now successfully over. Thank you for visiting our stand and taking the time to meet with us. CARTES has proved to be one of the most outstanding international rendezvous points in the smart card industry.

Cards, related components and processing equipment have been the leading technology at CARTES so far, but this year NFC was without any doubt THE topic of the show. NFC links smart cards with what is probably the greatest consumer electronics success story of human history, mobile phones. This relationship creates a great opportunity for service providers to launch services such as payment and ticketing on these powerful devices. It was difficult to find a booth without some linkage to NFC. There were in fact lots of demos pertaining to NFC, not to mention Trusted Service Managers, payment system providers, SIM and secure memory card vendors and different new innovations like NFC stickers, dual interface SIM cards and various contactless adapters.

Venyon was granted an opportunity to hold a presentation for the conference, which took place during the show. CMO of Venyon, Mr Jukka Yliuntinen gave his speech on Wednesday, explaining the requirements for TSM services and describing the trial findings emphasizing the customer friendly NFC services.
