What are Trusted Services
Trusted services in NFC can be divided into different roles and these can be taken by different stakeholders. Main two roles are Trusted Service Manager (TSM) for managing NFC applications provisioned into the secure element and SE Manager for managing the secure element. Roles are dependant on technical capabilities and business agreements between NFC secure element (SE) issuers and NFC application issuers. NFC secure element issuer role may vary depending on what type of form factor secure element is deployed. For embedded SE and secure microSD card issuer role is not set yet and could be taken by different organizations. For SIM card issuer role, however, is well defined as SIM card is always issued by the Mobile Operator.
